Summary
IT professional moving into DevOps and platform engineering. I build and run real infrastructure:
- a school district's internal tooling and automation platform
- a cloud provisioning pipeline for my own web business
- a 5-year-old homelab running ~90 self-hosted services behind my own reverse proxy
I'm comfortable across Linux, containers, networking/TLS, CI and the application code on top.
Experience
IT Assistant, West Muskingum Local Schools
January 2026 – present
- Designed and built WM.Tools, a Dockerized Laravel portal (21 tools) integrating Google Workspace, the student information system, PaperCut, Action1, IT Glue and OpenSign behind Google SSO, with OU/Group-inherited permissions.
- Fixed a production outage caused by a runaway automation (53,000 API calls in an hour exhausting all PHP-FPM workers) with distributed lock-based concurrency limits and fail-fast rejection.
- Run self-hosted n8n in queue mode (3 workers, PostgreSQL, Redis): SFTP data ingestion, Vaultwarden↔IT Glue sync, Wazuh agent upgrades, nightly Linux patching.
- Built a source-compiled, containerized CUPS print server integrated with PaperCut, using a private CA deployed to the Chromebook fleet.
- Automated Vaultwarden updates with health-checked rollback and nightly backups. Restored the vault after a power outage corrupted it.
Founder, Binary Prosperity LLC
2025 – present
- Built an idempotent provisioning platform that puts each client on a dedicated Vultr VPS: per-client SSH keys, Cloudflare DNS, Origin CA TLS from locally generated CSRs, GHCR image deploys over SSH.
- GitHub Actions CI with ~90 tests that fake every external API, plus lint and a scheduled
composer audit.
IT Assistant, Muskingum County Library System
October 2020 – December 2025
- Managed the network across 6 branches (Sophos, switches, Cisco APs), 100+ workstations and 50+ iPads via Meraki MDM.
- Wrote Send2Email (C#) for the microfilm machines, and Apps Script automation for KnowBe4 phishing-report tracking.
Earlier
- Data Entry Clerk, Neola (2018): automated document conversion, 12,000+ documents a day, ~40× the manual rate.
- Call Center Representative, Time Warner Cable (2016).
